Which battery brands fit the holsters?+
PowerRig supports Milwaukee M18, DeWalt 20V MAX, Makita LXT, Bosch 18V, RIDGID 18V, FLEX 24V, Ryobi ONE+, Hilti 22V and Metabo HPT 18V/36V. New adapters release as modules.
How does the AI assistant work?+
Just say 'Hey PowerRig' and ask for measurements, material calculations, tool control, weather, blueprints, safety checks and more. It runs locally for speed and works offline for core tasks.
How long does a full charge take?+
In direct sun the panels deliver up to 25W, refilling the 200Wh hub over a work day. From wall power the hub tops up in about 2.5 hours.
Is it heavy?+
The belt with hub and two holsters weighs 2.4 kg — balanced across the hips, with the panel weight carried by the harness.
When does it ship?+
Batch 1 ships to backers in March, with crew packs following in April. Tooling is complete and DVT samples are on site.
Can I charge my laptop?+
Yes. PowerRig Pro, Ultra and Enterprise include a USB-C PD port that delivers up to 100W, enough for most laptops, plus a 120V AC pure sine wave outlet.
Is the mobile app required?+
No. Every function works on the belt itself. The app adds remote monitoring, GPS tracking, firmware updates and fleet dashboards.
What happens if it gets rained on?+
PowerRig is rated IP65/IP67 depending on the component. Sealed electronics, waterproof connectors and impact-resistant housing handle real jobsite weather.
Can I add accessories later?+
Absolutely. The modular design supports auxiliary batteries, solar shoulder extensions, smart hard hats, heated vests, charging docks and more.
